MIS Underwriting Limited is registered as an insurance intermediary to undertake insurance distribution under the European Union (Insurance Distribution) Regulations, 2018 (IDR) in respect of General Insurance, registration no: C190040. Statutory Codes
MIS Underwriting Ltd is subject to and complies with the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Cide and the Fitness and Probity Standards as laid down by the Central Bank of Ireland. These Codes offer protection to Consumer and can be found on the Central Bank of Ireland website – www.centralbank.ie

It should be noted that neither the FCA nor the Central Bank of Ireland regulate the services provided under the MIS Breakdown contract. Full details explaining how to complain regarding the Legal Expenses Service, or the Personal Accident Insurance can be found below.
Account Management
All money shall be held in accordance with the Central Bank of Ireland conduct of business rules and agreements that we hold with insurers.
Conflicts of Interest
It is the policy of our company to avoid conflicts of interest in providing you with insurance services. If this is not possible, we will notify you as soon as possible after we become aware of the conflict of interest, and you can rest assured that you will be treated fairly where such a conflict is avoidable.
Complaints
It is our intention to always provide you with a high level of customer service. If you wish to make a complaint about our services, we have a formal complaints procedure. In the first instance you may contact us in writing or by phone. Please address your complaint to:

We will contact you within five business days of receiving the complaint to inform you of what action we are taking. We will provide you with regular updates in writing on the progress of your complaint investigation, at intervals of not greater than 20 business days and will attempt to investigate and resolve your complaint within 40 business days of receipt. If it is not possible to resolve your complaint within 40 business days, we will provide you with a written explanation as to why the complaint cannot be resolved and indicate when it is expected that a final response can be made. Within five business days of the completion of our investigation we will issue you with our final response.
If you are dissatisfied with our final response or if your complaint has not been resolved within 40 business days, you are entitled to refer your complaint to:

Please be aware that the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman will only be able to consider your complaint after MIS Underwriting Limited have had an opportunity to consider and resolve your complaint.
Data Protection
MIS Underwriting Limited complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We wish to be transparent on how we process your data and show you that we are accountable with the GDPR in relation to not only processing your data by ensuring you understand your rights as a customer. The data will be processed only in ways compatible with the purposes for which it was given and as outlined in our Privacy Notice. We will ensure that this Privacy Notice is easily accessible. You have the right to complain about how we treat your Personal Data and Sensitive Personal Data to the Data Protection Commission. The DPC can be contacted at https://www.dataprotection.ie/en/contract/how-contact-us. We are only allowed to keep your information if we need it for the reasons outlined in our Privacy Notice. We will keep it in line with industry, regulatory and contractual requirements.
Your obligations
You will not instruct us to provide services which would cause us, nor use our services in any way to violate applicable laws including without limitation bribery, anti-corruption, money laundering, sanctions or data protection laws.
Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019
For new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments, you are under a duty to answer all questions posed by us or your insurer honestly and with reasonable care. The answers in any proposal, statement of fact, declaration and any other document provided by you to us must be true and complete. Specific questions will be asked. Where you do not provide additional information (after being requested to do so), it can be presumed that the information previously provided remains unchanged. Completed proposal forms or Statements of Facts will be provided to you. These are important documents as they form the basis of insurance contract between the insurer and you the consumer. You should review and confirm that the answers contained within are true and accurate. An Insurer may repudiate liability or limit the amount on foot of the contract of insurance, only if it is established that non-disclosure of material information was an effective cause of the insurer entering into the relevant contract of insurance on the terms on which it did.

Cooling off Period
You may cancel this insurance at any time by writing to your insurance advisor providing 14 days written notice. If you exercise this right within 14 working days of receipt of policy documents or start date (whichever is later), you will receive a refund of premium provided you have not already made a claim against the insurance.
Cancellation Rights
We shall not be bound to accept renewal of any insurance and may at any time cancel any insurance document by giving 14 days’ notice in writing where there is a valid reason for doing so. A cancellation letter will be sent to you at your last known address.
If we cancel the policy and/or any additional covers you will receive a refund of any premiums you have paid for the cancelled cover, less a proportionate deduction for the time we have provided cover.
Where our investigations provide evidence of fraud or misrepresentation, we may cancel the policy immediately and backdate the cancellation to the date of the fraud or the date when you provided us with incomplete or inaccurate information. This may result in your policy being cancelled from the date you originally took it out and we will be entitled to keep the premium.
If your policy is cancelled because of fraud or misrepresentation, this may affect your eligibility for insurance with us, as well as other insurers, in the future.
Investor Compensation Act 1998

Stamp Duties Consolidation Act 1999 (or future amendments thereto)
The appropriate stamp duty has been paid in accordance with he provisions of Section 5 of the Stamp Duties Consolidation Act 1999.
Governing Law and Language
This policy shall be governed by Irish Law. If there is a dispute, it will only be dealt with in the Irish Courts.
